Application for new electric service may be completed on-line or by following the instructions listed below.

JCPB is in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for all utilities to implement an identity theft prevention program. JCPB will use the On-Line Utility Exchange Application (Experian) on new applicants to validate identification and determine deposit requirements based on applicants’ credit scores.

*On-line Utility Exchange credit inquiries post as a soft inquiry and will not affect consumer credit scores.

Instructions for New Residential Service by Phone or Walk-in.

  1. Complete an Application for New Residential Service. You will need to contact a representative from our Application Department for the application at 423-952-5010.
  2. Make a copy of your driver's license and social security card.
  3. Include copies of the Application for New Residential Service, your driver's license and social security card and mail or fax to the following:
