Application for new electric service may be completed on-line or by following the instructions listed below.
JCPB is in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for all utilities to implement an identity theft prevention program. For sole proprietorship commercial applicants JCPB will use the On-line Utility Exchange (Experion) to validate identification.
*The On-line Utility Exchange Credit inquiries post as a soft inquiry and will not affect consumer credit scores.

- Complete an Application for New Commercial Service. You may print a copy of the Application for New Commercial Service from the link above.
- Application requirements for commercial and industrial customers:
- Deposit, irrevocable letter of credit, or utility/surety bond. Deposits are refunded after one year of satisfactory payment history, provided no more than one late payment per year.
- Identification - Company federal tax number and identification of the party signing for the company (i.e. drivers license). If your company is new and has not been assigned a federal tax id number, we will need verification of the following: driver's license, social security card, and/or federal or state picture identification of the principal owner or partner.
- Include copies of the Application for New Commercial Electric Service, your driver's license, and social security card and mail or fax to the following:
