Come Celebrate Public Power Week!

10/2/2009

October 4-10, 2009 marks the 23rd annual celebration of the American Public Power Association's (APPA) Public Power Week.  Public Power Utilities like the Johnson City Power Board take the first full week of October each year to promote the benefits of publicly-owned electric utilities.  Throughout the week, we will greet customers who visit our headquarters with a variety of treats.  Depending on the time of day, visitors may enjoy a snack or drink, or get their windows washed as they pass through our drive-thru window.  If you have kids, bring them along on Friday for free face-painting and balloons and take a moment to visit with "Louie the Lightning Bug."  Come on by and let us show you how much we appreciate being part of this community.  Happy Public Power Week!
