The Gray Fossil Site is located in Washington County near the community of Gray, Tennessee. Discovery of the site came as a result of the realignment and widening of State Route 75 around the year 2000. The site dates to the late Miocene period, millions of years before humans and before the last ice age. The museum features many interactive displays. Follow the quilt trail. Traditional quilt patterns decorate new and historic barns throughout the region. The Historic Eureka Inn is located on Main Street, once the Old Stage Road, in downtown Jonesborough, Tennessee. The Town of Jonesborough was established in 1779 and is Tennessee’s oldest town. Residents and visitors, alike, enjoy the many beautiful, vibrant colors of fall in East Tennessee. Johnson City Power Board employees join hundreds of others for the annual Mountain States Dragon Boat Festival at Winged Deer Park, Johnson City, Tennessee.
